Cadet Honor Code
"We will not lie, steal, or cheat, nor tolerate among us anyone who does."
Description- "The purpose of the Honor Code is to
foster an environment based upon a personal sense of honesty and integrity
which will remain with you throughout your life. Quite simply, the
implementation of the Cadet Honor Code means that you will be trusted to do
that which is right and must confront those who violate these standards . . .
throughout your cadet career, you will be expected to live by the Honor Code."
Lying is any statement of untruth which is
meant to deceive or mislead.
Stealing is wrongfully taking, obtaining,
or withholding someone else's property with the intent to temporarily or permanently
deprive him or her of such property.
Cheating is essentially taking unfair advantage
of another thus violating the competitive nature of "Fair Play."
Tolerating is enduring without complaint. If you know
someone has stolen from another, and you fail to report or confront the matter then
you are more than likely guilty of toleration.
